The prevention by law of the manufacture and sale of alcohol, especially in the US between 1920 and 1935.
South Africa 2020, Covid-19 Lockdown.
During the national lockdown of 2020, liquor stores in South Africa started gathering dust for the first time; no feet through the aisles, no bottles being picked up to take home… nothing. If you concentrated hard enough it wasn’t impossible to imagine a tumbleweed blowing in the wind in front of all the closed liquor store doors.
Prohibition SA decided not to be buried under the desert storm sands and instead began our super secret mission to produce small batch liquor to be dropped off at the gates of our friends and family so they could experience our homemade liquor too.
Prohibition small batch liquor makers craft our rum, whiskey and brandy in a way that ensures it goes down smooth. Don’t get caught in another sandstorm, join us in our mission to bring Prohibition to the masses!
