Meet The BMerch Team

As the owners of Rocket, we started from a humble beginning with the thought of a custom shirt gifting business called BMerch. This blossomed and grew into a thriving magical glitter moonshine craft gin, whiskey, brandy and rum distillery during 2020 lockdown, which later progressed into hosting enchanting moonshine and glitter tasting events. What was once meant to be a side hustle has turned into a fully-fledged company and we couldn’t be happier.

With this in mind we’d like to introduce you to the crazies! The peeps behind the scene who make this business possible.

Deon ‘Maverick’ Nell

Deon describes himself as a bit of a daredevil when it comes to making decisions, hence the Maverick nickname he’s received in business. What he loves about being a founding member of Rocket is that he can test new things and learn. The company is currently in the experimental phase which he is loving, hence the name ‘Maverick’! If you can’t find him at work, he’ll probably be holidaying in the bush as that’s his favorite holiday destination.

Corne’ Nell aka Snip

Corne’ is a mom of three lively boys which leads to a chaotic home. She loves to travel with her husband, enjoys a sneaky glass of wine or gin, eating pizza and brainstorming new business ideas. What she loves about being the owner of BMerch SA and co-founder of Rocket is the SPARKLE these brands spread to everyone’s lives! If you can’t find her at work, she’ll probably be holidaying in the forest and/or mountains. “And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.” – John Muir. Her favorite time of year is Christmas as it invokes childhood nostalgia.

Jean van der Have

Jean is an extreme extrovert who enjoys interacting with people. He’s a husband and father to two beautiful girls. He comes from an Electrical Engineering background which makes him the over analyser of the group but he’s found his niche looking after the technical operations of the distillery. What he loves about being the co-founder and part of the Rocket team is having the opportunity to create something that can bring joy to others. He also loves being a part of the dream team making their dreams a reality. If he’s not in the office, you can find Jean relaxing with his family and friends.

Kaitlyn ‘Kait”

Kait as we like to call her LOVES people and is very energetic. She’s outgoing and adventurous with a passion for cats…she has three of them. She loves spending time with her family and loved ones and what she enjoys the most about being a part of the Moonshine & Glitter team is talking to and working with amazing people. If she’s not at work, you’ll probably find her spending quality time with her favorite people.

 Lezandri Zandberg

Lezandri is a BCom Business Management student who is also a wrestling coach. She loves learning new things and is known as the busy bee of the group. She loves being part of the Glitter & Moonshine team because it’s like being part of a family. She also enjoys working with people and leaving them with an unforgettable experience. Her favorite time of year is Christmas and Easter, not because of all the public holidays but because there’s always a lot of chocolates involved.

Cindy Mendes

Cindy is a mom to her daughter who means the absolute world to her. She has a go-getter attitude and will always try her very best in everything she does. What she loves about the Glitter & Moonshine team is that she gets to meet new people, educating them at the tasting table and being part of an amazing team. If you don’t find her working hard, she’ll be enjoying her time with friends and family at the coast.
